Revival in New York

IMG_2112On our way coming to New York, I decided to reread the book ‘The Cross and The Switchblade’ by David Wilkerson. The book is a powerful testimony of the intervention

of God and is filled with many supernatural miracles. What stood out was that David Wilkerson had lots of trials and many times was not

always clear of the direction God was taking him. But God was with him every single step of the way and revival sparked in 1958. It has now been 59 years since those events occurred, and yet there is still a residual of revival from that era. My wife and I were able to visit the Brooklyn Teen Challenge where it all began. They are still in the same building since 1958 and still reaching the city with the gospel. While the events may have happened many years ago, the fact remains that God is not finished in New York City. We cannot help but see the melting pot of cultures and streets that are filled with people crying out for answers.

As I read the book, I could not help but ask God for that same favor. While we have been looking for a building, we have met various people who need miracles. One lady who we have met has bone cancer and has been battling with it throughout her body. She recently got saved in February and had a prayer group that was praying for a church to be launched in Queens. She opened her home for bible study, and just a few days ago, she texted me to tell me that her recent MRI scan result showed the cancer has decreased and is stabilized.

Praise God that we have a God that is still the same yesterday, today, and forevermore!

Please pray for revival in New York City.
